Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) is an incredibly versatile product used in many applications where conventional materials cannot meet required specifications and standards such as fire ratings, impact resistance and weight considerations. Captrad GRP Flat Sheets can be used in a wide range of applications from the Construction Industry, infill panels, balcony cladding , school claddding to fascia panels.


We can produce our panels to virtually any colour.

Surface Textures:
All our products can be manufactured with a variety or combination of surface finishes.
The inclusion of our unique surface protection membrane can significantly enhance the quality, appearance and lifespan of panels by providing a high level of UV and graffiti resistance.

We can make virtually any length of panel - logistics and handling taken into account. We do have a max width of 1550mm and a thickness tolerance of +/- 0.75mm.

Handling GRP Sheets
 

1. DESCRIPTION Cured polyester resin reinforced with Fibreglass chopped strand mat.
2. CLASSIFICATION  Not classified (non hazardous).
3. FLAMMABILITY  Flash point N/A. Extinguishing media water, foam, CO2, dry powder.
4. HEALTH & STORAGE  No hazard in normal use. Nuisance dust hazard when cutting and grinding (irritation 
to mouth, nose, throat and skin).
5. HANDLING & STORAGE  Possibility to static discharge when handling multiple sheets, possibility of minor 
cuts from exposed edges.
6. RECOMMENDATION  Flat sheets should be stored flat to avoid warpage. Flat sheets should be carried vertical 
to avoid sag. Heavy duty rubber gloves should
be worn for handling to reduce problems of static and cuts. Good
workshop
practice should be observed when cutting and grinding. Advice should be sought from ventilation/
extraction companies. Wear eye protection and dust masks if
appropriate when cutting etc.
7. DISPOSAL  Dispose in accordance with local regulations. Primary method of disposal is in municipal or industrial
landfill.
8. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS  Advice should sought from Captrad Ltd prior to its products being used in food 
preparation areas or if they are used
in the manufacture of toys.

10. Remove all film before installation or one week after delivery.
11. Keep panels flat where possible.
12. Graffiti can be removed using standard solvents without the fear of smudging or permanently marking the 
panel. Dirt and grime build up can be removed using
hot soapy water then dried with a clean cloth to remove
any soap streaks.
