Stoneflex
Introduction
Stoneflex is a glass fibre reinforced polyester resin cladding panel built up to provide a surface finish of natural stone. The panels are manufactured by a continuous process whereby a substrate of glass fibre and granulated stone chippings is built up, the resin is impregnated and consolidated with the decorative stone chippings, then the panels are oven curved.

Product Benefits
Strong yet lightweight
Stoneflex panels will withstand a wind load up to 2.0knm2 at normal fixing centres. The impact resistance is class: hard and soft bodies (to BS 8200, Appendix G) Cat C. The weight varies with aggregate grade from 9.5k/m ² to 17.0k/m ².
Fire
Stoneflex panels are fire rated. If it is a Stoneflex panel then you are guaranteed that it has a Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS476 Part 7 Class 0 to the building regulation when tested to BS476 Part 6.
Biological
Stoneflex panels are inorganic, rot proof, immune to attack by insects and vermin and will not nourish mould growth.
Weathering
Following extensive weathering accelerated test, Stoneflex showed no significant properties changes.
Wind
Calculations based on mechanical tests have shown that the cladding will adequately resist normal wind forces for locations within the UK where a design wind speed of no more than 57m/s produces pressure no greater than +- 2.0km/m2 as calculated in accordance with CP3 Part V.
Compatibility
Stoneflex panels are compatible with all common building materials and are fixed using traditional building methods.
Warranty
Stoneflex URP Ltd warrants that its panels will be free of manufacturing defects for ten years from the date of installation. This warranty is in effect only if the panels are installed in accordance with Stoneflex URP Recommended Procedures and established construction practices.
